Frequently Asked Questions

F.A.Q.
If I'm not officially accepted yet, what am I allowed to do in the OOC communities?
You are perfectly welcome to ask questions or comment to posts in [community profile] damned_lounge even if you haven't been accepted yet. However, we do not allow potential players to post with journals for characters who have not officially been accepted, and unless otherwise noted, non-players may not vote in any of the administrative polls.

As a potential applicant, what is the best way to contact a mod if I have questions about my application?
We prefer to be emailed at damned.mods[at]gmail[dot]com so that we have a record of the question and having answered it. Leaving a comment on this post is also fine, if you don't mind the question being public.

I've submitted an application, but it's been a while and I haven't heard back. What should I do?
We do our best to list the status of applications in our inbox over here. However, sometimes we do fall behind. If it's been a week and you haven't received a response, please feel free to contact one of the mods (on plurk, with a DW PM, etc.) to inquire about your application status.

Haven't seen this anywhere but in the case of say weapons, high-tech power suits, personal affects, military uniforms, etc, that new characters usually have in their possession in their canon, do they still have them upon waking up/arriving in Landel's? Or are those items taken away? Could they also be reattained in game?

To be even more specific, what would happen to Terry McGinnis's Batsuit if he gets accepted into the game and can I get it back in-game if he doesn't have it?

Characters are generally stripped of everything when they first arrive at Landel's -- except that in some cases they can keep a small personal item if it isn't advantageous in any way. I'm assuming you know about Batman stuff, so as an example: Two-Face got to keep his coin.

There is a way for characters to get their canon outfits back, though. During October (which is [livejournal.com profile] damned's birthday month) we have something called the Oktoberfest. Basically, if you write a [livejournal.com profile] damned-related fic (over 2,000 words) before the end of that month, you can choose for one of your characters to get their outfit back. However, the outfit won't have any advantageous perks added - that is, the Batsuit's utility belt, flying capabilities, etc. would be gone. It'd just be an outfit.

Does that help?
